Alan Christie

Alan is Chair of the board of directors and our special advisor. He is a leader in workplace equality and corporate responsibility with a thoroughly engaging personal style. Alan’s role as Director of Policy at the Equality and Human Rights Commission [EHRC] had a focus on the private sector. He led policy development in the areas of education, employment, enterprise and economic inclusion, covering topics such as equal pay, poverty, education and skills, social mobility, workplace integration, procurement, supplier diversity and regeneration. He was previously a Director of the Commission for Racial Equality [CRE].

Prior to his stint in the CRE and EHRC Alan was the Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Levi Strauss Europe, Middle East and Africa. A member of the executive management team he was responsible for media, government and community relations. He also co-founded and chaired CSR Europe, a leading business-to-business network working closely with the EU Commission on corporate responsibility issues.

Julie Kaya

Julie is Managing Director and is responsible for the strategic development of Sateo and client care. She has a social science and learning & development background with a strong practical understanding of action research and applied psychology. Julie has a deep knowledge of inclusion issues and with her broad organisational experience enjoys great client relationships that span a decade.

Julie delivers a range of business support including organisation development, diversity & inclusion strategy, inclusive recruitment, coaching & mentoring, unconscious bias training, stress management, policy development, monitoring & metrics, competency design and implementation, psychometrics, prevention of bullying and harassment, supporting effective employee networks, managing a diverse workforce, accessible service delivery and inclusive marketing and communications.

Baljit Kaur

Baljit wears two hats. As an Associate consultant, Baljit delivers E&D training, consultancy and audit services. Baljit’s clients say her critical E&D insights, collaborative methods and engaging personal leadership style are enabling them to both aspire to higher standards and reach them. Baljit is also E&D lead for the Legal Ombudsman and previously worked as E&D manager for the West Midlands Police Authority advising the force on its E&D and community cohesion strategies. She was Director of Housing for a housing organisation and was responsible for its economic and financial inclusion strategy.

Griff Griffiths

Griff supports individuals and groups adapting to change. He’s a leadership coach and group facilitator, and is founder and director of the collaborative coach network Cocomotion. Clients experience his coaching as a calm, intuitive and spacious opportunity to hear themselves, reflect and become aware of their patterns of thinking, feeling and action. Griff’s previous career was in the IT industry, and as a result of thousands of hours working in teams, building products of varying utility and longevity, he’s familiar with success, failure and, most of all, the complex space in-between!
